Anti-Spam and Unsolicited Email Policy
The International School Yangon does not permit the use of unsolicited bulk email, commonly known as spam, to advertise or promote the school, the isyedu.org website, its programs, services, activities, or events.
The school does not purchase, rent, harvest, or obtain third-party email lists for unsolicited advertising. Messages from isyedu.org are sent only for legitimate school purposes to individuals and organizations that:
1) Are current or former members of the school community;
2) Have an existing relationship with the school;
3) Have contacted the school or requested information;
4) Have provided their email address for a relevant school purpose;

6) Would reasonably expect to receive the communication because of their relationship with the school.
Routine school communications may include academic and administrative information, safety notices, newsletters, admissions information, event announcements, invoices, employment-related correspondence, and responses to inquiries. The inclusion of the school’s name, website, or contact information in an employee’s email signature does not constitute permission to distribute unsolicited advertising.
Employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and other third parties are prohibited from advertising or promoting isyedu.org through unsolicited messages. ISY email accounts and systems must not be used to send spam, phishing messages, malware, misleading communications, or unauthorized bulk email.
The school takes reasonable measures to protect its email accounts and domain from unauthorized use. Suspected compromised accounts or unauthorized email activity will be investigated, access will be secured, and appropriate corrective action will be taken.
Recipients of optional newsletters or promotional communications may request that those messages stop. This does not apply to essential academic, administrative, contractual, safeguarding, emergency, or other operational communications that the school must send as part of its relationship with the recipient.
Concerns about unsolicited email involving isyedu.org may be reported to averma@isyedu.org. Reports should include the complete message, full email headers, the date and time received, and any other relevant information so the school can investigate.
The International School Yangon reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to its email systems when this policy is violated.
