Model United Nations (MUN)

Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations where students step into the roles of delegates representing countries, debating global issues, and working together to find solutions. At ISY, MUN empowers students to develop critical thinking, diplomacy, and public speaking skills while deepening their understanding of international affairs.

Locally, ISY hosts its own MUN conferences, giving students the chance to lead discussions, draft resolutions, and collaborate with peers from our own community and other Yangon schools. Internationally, ISY delegates participate in SEASAC and other regional MUN events, connecting with students from across Southeast Asia. These experiences challenge our students to engage with diverse perspectives, build friendships beyond borders, and become confident global citizens.
